The Logitech G700S is widely regarded by many photoshop enthusiasts and gamers as the best Macro mouse ever. At $199, it is reasonably affordable and is one of the most popular picks in this segment, and there’s not much that can go wrong if you’re using it for Photoshop. It requires a single AA battery and can be used both wired and wirelessly.

I have about as much knowledge on Macs as I do on the complete works of Sarah Jessica Parker (= 0) so am looking for a bit of help.A student who I am tutoring uses a mac, I have always used Windows, We have got through most of differences but I can't fathom out why she can't orbit by holding down the mouses' wheel button? It's extremeley frustrating and there must be a way to sort it out? Not had time to sort it yet as only meet for a limited number of hours. So, can anyone point me to a fix for this? Thanks very much. What mouse is she using? The latest Mac mouse doesn't even have a center mouse wheel/button.
When I bought my MacBook Pro, I also bought the cheapest wireless Logitech mouse I could find (about $200) and use that instead. I just plugged it in and didn't install the driver and it works perfectly. We replaced the Mac mouse that came with the iMac with a Microsoft USB mouse which also works perfectly and much better than the Mac mouse with the tiny little ball.I would suggest to your student that she switch to a PC-type mouse. Hi folks. After four years of use, my wireless Mighty Mouse (with the small round roller) started acting badly, with the roller nor working for scroll up.
None of the tricks that I knew to clean it works anymore. Except for that problem, this mouse has always been a pleasure to use. I enabled the center roller as the third button in the Mouse Preference Panel and it worked perfectly with SketchUp (SU).Unable to find a replacement since Apple do not make Wireless Migthy Mouse any more, only wired one and I prefer wireless since it save on desktop clutter, I decided to try the Apple Magic Mouse. It works but, without a third button, it is useless for SU. However, before going to buy the Magic Mouse, I had read about the BetterTouchTools software. I installed it and created a center button (3rd button if you prefer). It works but, since this mouse do not gives a tactile feedback, I need to peek at the mouse to make sure that my index is in its center to be able to use the virtual 3rd button.
Also, with SU, it stops working from time to time so, I decided to buy a Logitech 505 wireless mouse with a classic roller. It worked like a charm. At first, I did not install the driver since, it did not required it to work. However, the speed is too great and I need to go to the mouse controp panel to slow it down a little.

After a couple of weeks, I discovered that the wheel of this mouse can also be pushed sideway. But, you need to install the Logitech Mouse Driver to enable this feature as well as the use of the two additional buttons on the side of the mouse.
I did and I discovered that the mouse reaction, especially with SU is now quite sluggish. You must note that I also have the Magic Trackpad hooked wirelesly on my iMac. I don't know if it may have an effect. So, after fighting for an hour or so, trying to draw with SU, I gave up and removed the Logitech driver. I dont have the sideway click and cannot use the additional buttons but at least, it is usable with SU.Just ideas. Dave R wrote:Or uninstall the Logitech driver altogether. It isn't needed.
The mouse will work just fine without it.But only if you have a simple mouse, ie: 2 buttons and a wheel that Windows built-in drivers recognizes. If you have a complex mouse; like my Logitech MX-600, with 5 additional buttons, Win will not recognize those extra buttons. The Logitech drivers allow you to redefine any of the 10 available buttons & wheel to do pretty much anything you want, as well as read the battery status.Unfortunately SU still does not recognize any more than the 2 main buttons and the wheel. Hey Fabio.i don't have (or ever had) a magic mouse so i'm not sure how much help i can be but something to try is assigning middle click to:control-command-left mouse buttonthat's a shortcut for orbiting that google doesn't seem to document anymore. (it's different then the default 'O' for orbit which switches to the orbit tool).
This is how i work when using only my trackpad when drawing on a laptop.so first, try orbiting by holding the control and command keys then left mouse button. That should work then try assigning that combo in bettertouchtool. That should work too?as far as bootcamp. I really don't know. But i assume there's a windows equivalent of ^⌘LMB for orbiting? Hello Jeff,Thanks for reply.I found the problem.
The middle click was assigned at system preferences to open Dashboard.Only disable that shortcut to Dashboard and middle click orbit worked fine. But this control-command-left click is very good. Don't need to switch to orbit.Worked on SKP (Mac OS) but not on SKP (Win 7 via Bootcamp).I don't know if SKP (Windows Version) has a shortcut equivalent. I will try to find anything like this for Windows version. On BetterTouchTool i didn't found an option to assign all this things (control+comand+left click). It's ok, because middle click worked now.But the most important that i saw:Magic Mouse is very bad to work with SketchUp! Not accurate and middle click does not work well.Sometimes work, sometimes doesn't.The touch functions is very good when working on Apple's sofware, but with Sketchup doesn't.I will change for another mouse.I can work with a button mouse and with trackpad to multitouch gestures. I think is the best choose.Sorry about my english.Thank you very much!
